Empowering Smiles, one summer at a time
As a proud Massachusetts company, we’re committed to the communities we serve. Everything we do — from Ahh to Z — works to support access to quality and affordable care and ultimately, help communities across our state stay healthy.
Every summer, the DDMA team rolls up their sleeves to spread smiles across Massachusetts! Through our Summer of Smiles program, dedicated volunteers pack and deliver thousands of oral hygiene kits to nonprofit organizations serving communities in need.
Our 4th Annual Summer of Smiles holds special significance as we celebrate Delta Dental of Massachusetts’ 60th Anniversary. Throughout the summer, we’ll be working toward our goal of distributing 6,000 dental hygiene kits across Massachusetts communities. Run to Home Base 2026
For 60 years, Delta Dental has been proud to give back to the communities that have supported us every step of the way. Most recently, we had the honor of participating in the Run to Home Base event at historic Fenway Park.
This powerful annual event raises critical funds for Veterans, Service Members, and Military Families, supporting life-changing care, wellness programs, and essential services. Through our Summer of Smiles program, dedicated volunteers pack and deliver thousands of oral hygiene kits to nonprofit organizations, helping bring healthy smiles to communities in need.
We teamed up with Boston basketball star Sam Hauser for Veterans Assists—a season-long campaign to improve Veterans’ oral health!
Last season, Delta Dental of Massachusetts partnered with Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and 98.5 The Sports Hub for a memorable afternoon with Boston forward Sam Hauser and some incredible kids at the Grousbeck Boys & Girls Club of Charlestown.
Erik Montlack, President of DDMA, Nadeem Karimbux, Dean at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and Sam Hauser brought the action both on and off the court by handing out oral health care packages to reinforce the importance of healthy smiles.
Impact all year round
Our VP of Clinical Management, Dr. Linda Vidone proudly joined Boston 25 News for their annual #StuffTheSleigh event in December.
The team contributed dental hygiene kits containing dental essentials, children’s books, and a donation to Christmas in the City, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and families throughout our community!
Mobilizing dental care in underserved communities
Did you know tooth decay, the most common childhood disease in the U.S., results in more than 51 million lost school hours each year? Access to oral health care from a young age is so important, and that’s why we’re proud to be working with ForsythKids to expand access to mobile and school-based dental care in underserved local communities.
In recognition of National Oral Health Day on March 20, 2025, the Delta Dental team connected with Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP) to arrange the donation of 100 Dental Kits for the benefit of the underserved communities treated at their Boston dental clinic.
