Plan information

RTX offers two plan options, Delta Dental Basic and Delta Dental Plus, allowing employees to select the plan that best meets their needs.

Whether you select the Basic or Plus Plan, you have the flexibility to access two different Delta Dental national networks. Both networks offer discounted fees and great benefits. 75% of dentists nationally participate in one or both networks, so you are covered where you live and where you may travel.

A wide network of dentists to choose from

Delta Dental PPO™

You will enjoy the greatest savings when you visit a Delta Dental PPO network dentist due to the deeper-discounted fees these dentists accept, making your benefit dollars go further.

Delta Dental Premier™

You will receive good value when you visit a dentist in our broad-based Delta Dental Premier network because dentists in this network also accept discounted fees.

You can also see a dentist outside of our contracted networks – however, you will likely pay more. All claims must be submitted within one year of the date of service.

Find a Dentist

To find a dentist or to see if your current dentist is in one of our networks visit our Find a Dentist tool (select PPO Plus Premier in the drop-down menu) or call 877-335-8227.

Pre-Treatment Estimate

Ask your dentist to submit a pre-estimate to Delta Dental for any procedure that exceeds $300. This will help you estimate in advance any out-of-pocket expenses you may incur and will confirm that the services you are having are covered under your dental coverage.

Orthodontic Benefits

If you or your dependent’s orthodontic treatment began before you were covered under a RTX Corporation dental plan, Delta Dental will pay a monthly fee for the remaining orthodontic visits until either the treatment is completed or the lifetime benefit maximum is exhausted, whichever comes first.

Enhanced Benefits for Chronic Health Conditions

If you're managing certain health conditions, you could be eligible to receive additional benefits designed to support both your oral and overall health.

Log in to your online member account to learn more and enroll in the Enhanced Benefits for Chronic Health Conditions program. You can complete and submit the form right from your Dental Dashboard.

Frequently Asked Questions
What plan do I have?

RTX members have the Delta Dental PPO Plus PremierTM plan.

What is the difference between the Delta Dental Premier and the Delta Dental PPO network?

Delta Dental PPO gives you the lowest possible out-of-pocket costs. Participating dentists in the Delta Dental PPO network agree to accept lower fees for procedures, providing larger discounts that result in savings for Delta Dental members.

Delta Dental Premier is the largest dentist network in the country. In fact, more than four-out-of-five participating dentists in the nation have agreed to accept Delta Dental’s pre-negotiated fees for dental procedures.

Dentists in both networks have agreed not to charge more than Delta Dental’s allowed fees and they won’t balance bill you the difference between the allowed fees and their regular fees. Either way, members get savings and protection.

What are the benefits of seeing an in-network dentist?

You get the best value. Not only will you maximize your benefits, your dentist will submit dental claims on your behalf.

How do I find out if my dentist is part of the Delta Dental network?

Delta Dental has the largest national network of dentists across the country, so you are sure to find one that’s near you. Our online Find a Dentist tool makes it easy to choose a dentist. The tool will target your search by your plan name, which is Delta Dental PPO Plus PremierTM, and your city or zip code. The tool can also be used to search for a specific dentist, or search by practice name and specialty. Remember, choosing an in-network dentist will most likely always save you the most money on care.

What happens if I visit a dentist who isn't part of the Delta Dental Premier or Delta Dental PPO network?

Your Delta Dental benefits also cover services performed by dentists who don't participate in our network. However, discounted fees and balance billing policies don't apply to non-network dentists and may result in greater out-of-pocket costs.

In addition, when visiting a non-network dentist, members are responsible for submitting their own claims.

How do I submit a claim myself?

If you receive services from a dentist that is not part of our networks (who does not participate in either the Delta Dental PPO™ or Delta Dental Premier™ network), you can download a claim form by signing into your online account. To fill out the claim form, you will need the American Dental Association procedure codes (provided by your dentist’s office), along with your dentist's information and tax identification number (TIN). If available, please attach a copy of your bill as well.

Mail your completed claim form to:

How do I register to view my dental benefits and claim information?

Go to deltadentalma.com/RTX.

Can I view my claims history online?

Yes, once you have logged into your online account, hover over where it says "My Benefits" in the dropdown menu toward the top of the page and click on "My Claim Status". A list of claims, identified by number, date of service and amount paid will appear. Click on the "Details" button for more details about the services. This information also shows on your main member dashboard.

Can I view dependent information on the website?

No. The member portal use is limited to members 18 years and older, and members can only see their own information. If covered dependents (18 and over) want to see their information, they must self-register.

How do I submit an out-of-country claim?

Delta Dental of Massachusetts provides benefits for services performed out of the country. If you see a dentist outside of the United States, you are responsible for obtaining the necessary documentation for services provided. The following information needs to be submitted:

  • Itemized bill from the dentist converted to U.S. currency based on the date of service
  • A completed claim form with subscriber identification number and the group number
  • English translation of all documents
